Not ALL Angels Network: Understanding the changing investing landscape in Canada.

We are starting 2022 off with a much needed conversation about how our ecosystem has under-estimated funding for small business.

What makes this topic interesting, is the fact that we're going to discuss how the majority of accredited investors can't find deal flow.

Estimates on Angel investors vary between 20,000 to 50,000, but even if those numbers hit 100,000, it is still less than 10% of the 1 million accredited investors who are able to invest.

They aren't interested in chasing Unicorns and they are looking for opportunities in industries they understand with business models that make sense to them. Many do invest in companies, but their deal flow is limited to their own networks.

eQuo discusses who these people are, and why it is important to create a marketplace that includes them.

Our guests include Peyvand Melati, General Partner of Archangel Network of Funds, Joanne Fedeyko, Founder of Canadian Women's Network, Frank Wang,PFP,CIM,MFin, Associate at Celtic House Asia Partners, Brad Rome, Accredited Investor and Hessie Jones, Venture Partner at MATR Ventures.
